Suppliers and Wholesalers
We are always looking for new suppliers so get in touch if you are certified organic grower and have an idea of what you could grow for us. Contact us first before you sow the seeds though in case we have a supply of that veg organised already. We may need it for a different time of the year or may need a slightly different variety ! Make that call first and send queries for attention of Úna or Padraig unanibhroin@beechlawnorganicfarm.ie Items that we cannot get in Ireland currently in large supply are CERTFIED ORGANIC SWEET PEPPERS, AUBERGINES, SWEET POTATOES, BABY SPINACH AND THERE ARE A FEW MORE. We have SOME french beans bu need more and need other items that we grow but don’t have time to manage all year round also.
As well as growing over 50 acres of organic vegetables in Ballinasloe, we have a large number of Organic suppliers growing vegetables for us around Ireland. John Larkin is our local grower in Eyrecourt and provides us with early potatoes and cooking apples every year. John ( Maries cousin) xxx check surname grows potatoes also. Gavin Tully from Wexford grows tons and tons of potatoes for us and from Waterford we have Richard Galvins Clashganny Organic Apples, From Laois we have Leo Dunne supplying us the sweetest Irish organic carrot to be found and has been a long standing supplier and supporter of our farm. From Kildare, Paul Brophy the heroic broccoli grower sends us the best broccoli that we use to top up our own supply.
Battlemount Organic Farm supplied us with delicious french beans and Blue Danube potatoes this year which stayed a blue/purple colour after cooking, proving very popular with restaurants.
Philip Draper grows Beetroots, carrots and turnips and various other crops to a very high standard and supplies us when he has them in stock for us. Everyone wants his veg so we have a battle to get it at times.
From Millhouse Farm in North Galway we get perfect salad leaves parsley sage and thyme, and from Joe Kelly in Mayo we get his speciality, Irish organic cucumbers all Summer long. We grow our own but dont always have enough for our customers. Joe also grows courgettes, spinach and other veg for us.
